USA Fellowship Conference 2008: Rome, Constantinople, and Canterbury: Mother Churches? 4-8 June 2008 This summer from Wednesday, June 4 to Sunday, June 8, 2008, St Vladimir's Seminary will be hosting a conference of the Fellowship of St Alban and St Sergius to mark the 80th anniversary of the Fellowship. The theme of the conference is "Rome, Constantinople, and Canterbury: Mother Churches?" The conference will explore Rome, Constantinople, and Canterbury and how each plays a role of primacy over the local Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and Anglican churches around the world. Questions such as "how is primacy understood among and between the churches themselves" and "what role does communion with a 'mother church' play in establishing the identity of a local church" will be discussed. In addition, there will be workshops, plenary sessions, and worship services. Some of the keynote speakers include:
This conference is open to the public and anyone interested may register; however, registration and accommodation are limited. The full conference fee including on-campus accommodations and all meals is $500.00. If full payment is received by May 7, 2008, the fee is $400.00. The full conference fee including lunches, but without on-campus accommodations is $250.00. If full payment is received by May 7, 2008, the fee is $200.00. For day visitors including lunch the fee is $75.00 per day. Hotel information for those not staying on campus is available . Online registration is available .
